Job summary

ITV is seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive our enterprise data governance strategy, quality, security and compliance across ITV in a hybrid London-based role. You will establish policies, ownership models and governance controls to support our data strategy and reduce risk.

You will collaborate with the leadership team, data architecture and platform teams, delivering practical governance, metadata management and data quality programmes while enabling data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data governance, data management, and GDPR/regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing.
• Experience with data ownership, stewardship, metadata and data policies.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale data delivery programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data governance strategy and policies.
• Manage data ownership, stewardship, metadata, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure data quality with metrics, validation processes and governance controls.
• Ensure GDPR and other data protection regulations compliance and risk management.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering and platform teams to embed governance in workflows.
• Promote data stewardship and training to enable widespread adoption.
