Job summary

ITV plc in London is seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise data governance across quality, security and compliance of ITV's data assets. The role reports to the Chief Data and AI Officer and collaborates with the leadership team in a hands-on, pragmatic capacity.

You will define policies, establish data ownership and stewardship, monitor data quality and regulatory compliance (GDPR). This role sits in a central data function and requires partnering with architecture and platform

Qualifications

Extensive experience in data governance, data management and data protection regulation (e.g. GDPR).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Cloud platforms and data tooling, incl. GCP and Dataplex.
Proficient in SQL, Python or data visualization tools.
Experience leading large-scale cloud data programmes and governance across complex data estates.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data governance strategy with clear policies and ownership roles.
Manage data ownership, stewardship, metadata and stakeholder engagement across business and tech teams.
Ensure data quality and integrity through metrics, validation processes and issue resolution.
Ensure GDPR and regulatory compliance and embed governance into technical workflows.
Collaborate with data architecture, engineering and platform teams to operationalise governance.
