Job summary

RS Components is seeking a Data Governance Manager for a 12-month FTC, hybrid role based in Manchester or Corby. You will lead data quality, integrity, and consistency across product specifications and data models, ensuring alignment with business standards and compliance.

In this role you will bridge Product Management, CX, Category Management, Markets and IT to provide clean, reliable data for analytics and decision-making, and support ERP master data management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data governance, product data management, or data stewardship roles.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data dictionaries, and metadata management.
• Hands-on experience managing product specification data (e.g., BOMs, attributes, technical specs).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and how they handle master data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain data quality, integrity, and consistency across product specifications and data models.
• Bridge between Product Management, CX, Category Management, Markets and IT to ensure data accuracy and usability across systems.
• Provide clean, reliable data to support analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
• Support ERP systems integrity through consistent and well-maintained master data.
• Enhance product range and customer satisfaction through accurate and consistent product data.
• Reduce operational inefficiencies and errors stemming from poor data quality.
• Ensure compliance with internal data standards and external regulations.
