Job summary

Hypercube Consulting is seeking a Data Governance & Master Data Lead to stand up an enterprise data governance function from zero, embedded on-site with a global renewable energy developer and operator in London. This permanent, full-time role leads a Master Data team across assets, customers, suppliers, and data platforms, defining operating model, ownership, and KPIs.

Qualifications

10–15+ years in data governance and/or MDM within utilities, energy or asset-heavy industries.
Delivery of enterprise data governance and MDM at scale.
Hands-on with ERP and data platforms; strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Define and implement a Data Governance Framework aligned to industry standards.
Establish data owners, stewards and custodians with real accountability.
Chair the enterprise Data Governance Committee and drive cross-functional alignment.
Develop policies across data classification, privacy and lifecycle management.
Own enterprise MDM strategy for asset, customer and supplier data.
Run MDM platform selection and ownership of implementation/adoption.
Define KPIs for data quality and lead remediation of issues.
Partner with business units to embed governance into operations.
Lead a hybrid team of internal staff and external specialists.
