Job summary

LGC Ltd is seeking a Data Governance and Cyber Security Manager to shape and maintain governance, data security and compliance across the Grant Management Group (GMG). The role involves ensuring UK GDPR and government standards are met while driving secure, innovative analytics through the BI Hub.

You will collaborate with the DDaT team and information governance to balance policy with progress, deliver contractual outputs, and advance data stewardship across GMG infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and data governance frameworks.
• Experience implementing governance within large-scale data, analytics or digital transformation programmes.
• Ability to establish data ownership, stewardship, quality and metadata management frameworks.
• Knowledge of risk, audit, compliance and assurance procedures.
• Ability to translate complex governance and security requirements into practical business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement the Data Governance Framework across GMG with BI Hub as priority.
• Define and monitor governance benchmarks, maturity measures and compliance reporting.
• Lead Data Governance, Information Security and Compliance as BI Hub authority.
• Guide security-by-design across BI Hub platforms and other GMG platforms.
• Collaborate with DDaT and Information Governance to ensure secure data architecture and access controls.
