Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Data Governance Consultant to join the Metadata & Data Quality team. You will improve how the Society understands, manages and trusts its data through metadata management, data lineage and data quality.

You will support the adoption of governance processes, controls and tooling that raise data confidence, and work across metadata management and data quality activities, with hybrid UK-wide working.

Job description

We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to join our Metadata & Data Quality team. In this role, you will help improve how the Society understands, manages and trusts its data through the application of metadata management, data lineage and data quality best practice. Working closely with business and technology teams, you'll support the adoption of governance processes, controls and tooling that improve confidence in data and enable better business outcomes.

This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of Metadata Management and Data Quality activities, supporting day-to-day delivery alongside initiatives that simplify, standardise and automate governance processes.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time, you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London or Glasgow office. If you're based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events.
