Job summary

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership is seeking a skilled Data Management Officer to translate business requirements into effective queries and analytics. The role focuses on data governance, BI delivery, and regulatory compliant data handling within a large, regulated environment.

You will work across functions to collect and cleanse data, build quality dashboards, and support data strategy alignment. The position offers hybrid working with attractive pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practice.
• Experience and knowledge of data management techniques, including operational analytics and assurance reporting.
• Demonstrable experience of data analytics in a business environment.
• Experience of implementing data governance tooling.
• Use of BI tools in a demanding, complex business environment.
• Experience of documenting data assets and data lineage.
• Business analysis tools and techniques in both waterfall and agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into queries and analysis.
• Collect, cleanse and analyse large datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Support design and embedding of data requirements across the business.
• Ensure information handling is compliant with regulatory storage, retention, deletion and classification.
• Contribute to the Electronic Document Management System structure and governance.
• Support data governance policies, standards and procedures across the business.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards for accuracy and reliability.
• Support the Data Governance Operating Model and data governance tooling.
• Ensure new/existing data assets adhere to policies, standards and controls.
• Prepare and load reference/master data into core systems for reporting.
• Build and maintain data quality dashboards.
• Drive engagement and training in data management and governance.
