Job summary

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership in West Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise data pipelines and platforms underpinning analytics and AI capabilities.

You will set data engineering standards, translate business needs into scalable solutions, and ensure security, governance and operational resilience in a regulated environment. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable data pipelines for analytics, reporting, AI and ML.
• Experience with governance, security, quality in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Track record in regulatory reporting and operational resilience.
• Excellent stakeholder management across tech and risk.
• Degree or equivalent in a related field plus ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build and optimisation of data pipelines and platforms.
• Set data engineering standards across the organisation.
• Translate business needs into technical data solutions.
• Ensure security, governance, quality and resilience.
• Evaluate new technologies with clear business value.
• Mentor other data engineers and grow capability.
• Maintain artefacts and operating procedures.
• Develop data capabilities in line with the data strategy.
• Partner with data management, risk, tech and business units.
