Job summary

Vitality is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join its Data Governance team in a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Bournemouth office. The role focuses on driving data quality, governance standards, and trusted data for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance, data management or data quality environments.
• Strong data analysis skills with ability to identify trends and root causes.
• Knowledge of data governance tools, ideally Collibra, including glossary and classification management.
• Experience with insurance or financial services data is advantageous.
• SQL skills are desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to engage with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Governance Framework to strengthen data quality, integrity and business value.
• Analyse data processes and work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to identify and resolve data quality issues at source.
• Conduct data profiling and implement data quality controls to improve accuracy and reliability of business data.
• Produce data quality reporting and dashboards, highlighting risks and supporting governance decision-making.
• Coordinate and support data governance forums, including preparing packs and tracking outcomes.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to promote good data management practices.
• Maintain data catalogues, glossaries and data dictionaries to improve understanding of data assets.
• Support governance of information assets through classification, retention and lifecycle management.
