Data Governance Analysts will:

• Support data governance and data management efforts, including developing data domains and catalogues, establishing data ownership, and rolling out data literacy programs.
• Leverage relationships with the business to educate and train AXIS employees to manage data effectively in their daily work.
• Work with business users to define and document data standards to support insights and reporting.

What will you do in this role?

• Support the implementation of data domains across AXIS, working with data owners and stewards to establish data ownership.
• Manage Data Domains in day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate with the Data Quality team to document controls across the data lifecycle and support their implementation.
• Assist in the deployment and transfer of data governance tools to BAU.
• Help build and maintain a central data catalogue.
• Document data definitions to ensure consistency and accessibility across AXIS.
• Work with data owners, stewards, and the Data & Analytics Team to clarify data access, usage, and understanding.
• Support master data management and reference data strategies.
• Act as a subject matter expert on data governance, providing guidance to data owners and stewards.

You may also be asked to perform additional duties relevant to this role.

About You:

What you need to have:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to gain the confidence of business stakeholders.
• Clear communication skills across various stakeholders and the ability to work collaboratively within D&A and across AXIS.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to analyzing data and determining solutions.
• Attention to detail, demonstrated through real-world examples like time management and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

It would be a bonus if you have:

• Experience with implementing data domains and data products.
• Understanding of data modeling, working with the Data Architecture Team.
• Familiarity with data quality tools (e.g., DQlabs, Soda) and data catalogue tools (e.g., data.world).

• Be in the office 2 days per week.
