Job summary

Omnicom Media Group in London is seeking a data engineer to help build and maintain our config-driven data engineering platform (DMI). You will contribute to ELT pipelines, from Cloud Function ingestion into BigQuery to dbt-powered transformations, ensuring data integrity and scalable processing for 26+ ad platforms across global clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with dbt including models and tests.
• Strong Python programming and Pandas.
• Expert SQL with joins, aggregations, window functions.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end data pipeline from Cloud Function ingestion to dbt transformation and analytics tables.
• Write and update dbt models, macros, and Jinja templates.
• Add new platform integrations using YAML definitions and Python ingestion functions.
• Contribute to the Python CLI tooling for onboarding, config compilation, and pipeline execution.
• Maintain GCP infrastructure (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler).
• Write and maintain tests (pytest, dbt tests) and support CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build).
• Collaborate with analysts and BI teams to ensure data models meet reporting needs.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation.
