Job summary

Accenture PLC in Glasgow is seeking an Data Engineering Manager to lead cloud-scale data engineering programmes and AI-enhanced data delivery. You will own the data product journey, drive governance, and mentor teams across Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and other cloud platforms.

You will foster AI-augmented practices, modernise ETL/ELT pipelines and establish robust CI/CD standards while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. This role requires onsite work in Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Design and delivery of cloud-scale data engineering solutions across Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, AWS or GCP.
• Experience AI-assisted pipeline development using GenAI tooling to accelerate engineering delivery and govern outputs.
• Data quality, observability and automated governance including schema drift detection, lineage management and AI-driven quality controls.
• Data modelling including dimensional design, medallion architecture and source-to-target mapping.
• ETL/ELT delivery and legacy-to-cloud migration at scale.
• Data product thinking with consumption-first mindset and governance.
• Agentic AI patterns in data engineering contexts and AI-driven delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cloud-scale data engineering programmes and platform migrations across Azure, Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake, AWS and GCP.
• Drive AI-assisted pipeline development and set norms for GenAI tooling usage.
• Architect observability, resiliency and self-healing pipelines with AI-driven monitoring.
• Own data product design and governance end-to-end from ingestion to consumption.
• Mentor engineering teams and set technical direction for AI-augmented delivery.
• Establish CI/CD, testing automation and standards across data platforms.
