Peaple Talent Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join a growing Data & Insight function in the United Kingdom.

The role combines leadership of a Data Engineering team with hands-on technical delivery, guiding the data strategy and modernising the data platform. You’ll lead a talented team, influence data strategy, and drive a Databricks transformation while staying technically hands-on with Python, SQL and Spark.

Qualifications

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Data Engineers.
• Provide technical direction across data platforms and products.
• Drive migration to Databricks and a modern lakehouse environment.
• Hands-on engineering with Python, SQL & Spark.
• Work with Technology, Architecture, BI and wider business teams.
• Support major transformation and integration programmes.
• Exposure to management of Data Engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Python and SQL.
• Cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture.

Responsibilities
