Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking a Data Engineer to help design, build and maintain our data platform as we migrate to Snowflake. You will work across defined data domains and collaborate with data engineers, BI professionals and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes resilience, ownership sharing and practical delivery timelines, with hybrid working patterns in Birmingham and remote work on non-office days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL development skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience working in Azure.
• Experience designing and maintaining production data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to support Power BI.
• Contribute to a scalable data warehouse with high performance.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust, well‑documented solutions.
• Continuously improve data pipelines through optimisation and best practices.
• Collaborate with BI, analytics and business teams to deliver trusted data.
