Job summary

Network Plus seeks a Data Engineer to join our IT team in Worsley, focusing on building scalable data pipelines and lakehouses using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services. You will help migrate and modernise our data estate to support enterprise reporting and analytics.

You will collaborate with Data Analysts, BI Developers, and stakeholders to define and deliver data requirements, implement ETL/ELT processes, and ensure data quality and security across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience building data pipelines and lakehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of Fabric and Azure data services.
  • Experience designing enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse architectures.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and data engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and warehouse solutions.
  • Support migration and modernization of legacy data systems.
  • Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes with Fabric Data Factory, Notebooks, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts, BI Developers, and stakeholders to meet data requirements.
  • Implement and maintain data quality, governance, security and monitoring processes.
  • Optimise platform performance, data models, and storage strategies for scalability.
  • Support semantic models and reporting solutions for self-service analytics.
  • Troubleshoot data platform issues and improve operational reliability.
  • Document data architecture standards and technical guidelines.
