iO Associates is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to help modernise a data platform. Remote UK with on-site Bristol visits twice per month, offering £70,000–£75,000 plus benefits.

Join a growing Data & Insight team to design scalable data solutions, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data models across Fabric technologies, while supporting data quality and governance across the org.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL, data modelling, and ETL/ELT development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Experience building reusable and scalable data frameworks.
• Understanding of data quality, monitoring, governance, and production support.
• Python and/or PySpark experience.
• Experience with Spark Notebooks.
• SSIS and SSRS experience.
• Experience within professional services or legal environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
• Work across Fabric technologies including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, and Power BI.
• Support data quality, governance, monitoring, and production support activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps-driven delivery processes.
• Collaborate with Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
• Support the ongoing modernisation of the organisation's data platform.
