Job summary

MPower Plus in Bristol, UK is seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer to join a senior technical team and drive the design, development and delivery of enterprise-scale data products.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in GCP cloud data engineering, Python, SQL and dbt, with experience in data architecture, modelling, ETL/ELT and enterprise data platforms, plus strong data quality and governance know-how.

Qualifications

• 10-14 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end enterprise data products.
• Strong SQL, Python and dbt hands-on skills.
• Experience in data modelling, ETL/ELT and data architecture.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer to join a senior technical team and drive the design, development and delivery of enterprise-scale data products.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in GCP/cloud data engineering, Python, SQL and dbt, along with experience in data architecture, modelling, ETL/ELT and enterprise data platforms.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Advanced hands-on experience with dbt, Python and SQL
• Strong data modelling and ETL/ELT design capabilities
• Proven experience building and delivering end-to-end data products
• Experience applying AI-enabled approaches to data development
• Strong data testing, validation and quality assurance experience
• Solid understanding of data architecture
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and enterprise data architecture
• Experience across data strategy, solution selection, integration and implementation
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, deployment, governance and production go-live
• Proven ability to provide senior technical leadership within multidisciplinary feature teams
