Job summary

MRP Global is seeking a Data Engineer for a long-term hybrid role in the West Midlands. You will design and develop ETL pipelines for large-scale data migration and build data flows within AWS cloud environments, using SAS, Pentaho or Talend.

Active SC clearance is required; you will collaborate with architects, analysts and QA to ensure production readiness, data quality and CI/CD-enabled workflows, while supporting UAT and data validation activities.

Job description

Data Engineer required for a long-term engagement, offering competitive rates, supporting a large-scale data migration and cloud transformation programme. Hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite in the West Midlands, working primarily with ETL, SAS and AWS technologies.

Active SC Clearance required – candidates must hold active SC clearance from a recognised governing body.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL pipelines for large-scale data migration
• Build and optimise data flows within cloud-based environments

Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance required
• Strong Data Engineering and ETL experience
• Experience with SAS Data Integration, Pentaho or Talend
• Strong experience with SAS 9.4 and/or SAS Viya
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based data solutions
• Experience with data modelling, performance tuning and large-scale migration
• Git/Jenkins and CI/CD experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
