Job summary

undisclosed is seeking a software developer to support ETL architecture and data pipelines within the ITEC CARF project. The role focuses on Talend and Oracle RDS, with ETL tooling experience and a preference for Talend expertise.

The candidate will investigate defects, review artefacts, and assist with production promotions and warranty support. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate in scrum discussions under the lead engineer.

Qualifications

• Data ETL and database experience, Talend preferred.
• Experience with Oracle RDS environments and ETL tooling.

Responsibilities

Rate: up to £500.48 p/d Umbrellainside IR35

Clearance required: Active SC Clearance is desired. SC Eligibility is required

Develop project artefacts including (but not limited to) Talend jobs, Oracle DDL and SQL, GitLab Pipeline enhancements

Demand on the in the ITEC programme area has increased dramatically necessitating additional developers to support the delivery of the ITEC CARF project

This developer role will be primarily working on Talend and Oracle RDS systems, within our existing Talend framework and patterns. Experience of ETL tooling will be needed, preferably Talend but Pentaho/Informatica experience will be transferable. Experience working in Oracle RDS databases will also be required.

Requirements

• Investigate and resolve any defects / issues raised during testing phases.
• Review colleagues development and test artefacts.
• Support for Production promotion and ‘warranty’ support
• Conduct Component Testing of developed artefacts (including test data creation)
• Support QAs in conducting test phases and debugging issues identified throughout the development lifecycle
• Create and execute test packs for Component Test automation
• Support Performance Testing phase
• Provide support and guidance to colleagues and mentor junior engineers
• Reporting to Lead engineer and any scrum-of-scrum discussions

Required skills
