Job summary

Vanquis is seeking a Data Engineer to transform raw information into dependable data products. You will connect cloud and on-prem sources, turning data into trusted datasets and building scalable pipelines for batch and near real-time processing.

You’ll strengthen metadata and data dictionaries, shaping data marts to reduce prep time for analysts. You’ll work in a collaborative, hybrid environment with engineers, architects and business stakeholders, contributing to data platform design,

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and supporting Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
• Experience delivering data engineering/analytics or data warehouse solutions in cloud environments, ideally Azure.
• Strong SQL capability and building scalable ELT or data pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
• Understanding of data modelling, data marts, metadata-driven development, data dictionaries, data quality, governance and lineage.
• Experience delivering through Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, testing, automation and performance tuning.
• Confident collaboration with engineers, architects, project teams and business stakeholders, supported by clear documentation and communication.

This is a hands-on opportunity with meaningful ownership and visibility across engineering, architecture, deliveryand business teams. Your work will reduce manual effort, improve analystproductivityand help shape how our data engineering standards and practices evolve.

What you’ll bring

• Experience designing, buildingand supporting Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
• Experience delivering data engineering, analyticsor data warehouse solutions in cloud environments, ideally Azure.

• Experience using Coalesce and integrating data across cloud andon-premiseenvironments would be useful, but is not essential.
