Job description

We’re looking for someone who lives, breathes and loves data. We’re looking for someone who can extract, ingest, cleanse, combine, model, wrangle + untangle data for our clients. We’re looking for a super curious, hands‑on data engineering problem-solver who loves a challenge. We help our clients to unlock their data potential so they can achieve their goals faster than ever before – wanna join us?

We’re award‑winning global data + AI consultants + builders. We power our clients’ growth using data + AI. We review, select, set up + support all of their organisation’s data + AI tools. We work with UK and global clients across all sectors. We were born in 2017, we have ambitious growth plans and we’re growing every day. We need your help to grow our business even further.

What you’ll do…
  • Set up data platforms, including data warehouses, lakehouses, databases and ETL tools
  • Extract, transform & load data from a variety of databases and systems
  • Combine, cleanse and run ‘health checks’ on the data
  • Transfer & store data in a robust and secure way in line with industry best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Refine & ensure accuracy of data interfaces provided by third parties
  • Present and communicate processes, insights & findings to colleagues and clients
  • Produce answers in days, not months, and work by exploratory analysis and rapid iteration
  • Share knowledge with the wider team so that we can improve the way we work with our clients

This is a Bristol-based role with flexible-working and we often work from home.

What we need from you…
  • Demonstrable experience from working in data engineering roles.
  • Significant experience working with large datasets and multiple data feeds.
  • Confident in data ELT/ETL, data cleansing, modelling and data visualisation.
  • Experienced working with Azure and the Microsoft stack.
  • Confident developer of Python and SQL solutions.
  • Significant experience with data warehouse/lakehouse technologies such as Databricks/Fabric/Snowflake.
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, presentation, written, listening & verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using source control systems (e.g. Git) to manage code, collaborate on development, and follow professional branching and versioning workflows.
  • A deep understanding of data engineering best‑practice (e.g. robust data pipelines, security and networking, handling of sensitive data)
  • Experience collaborating with clients to understand business requirements and build data engineering solutions tailored to their needs.

This is NOT an entry‑level role…we need someone who has made loads of mistakes, so that they can share their experiences with others. So, if this is a 1 st or 2 nd role for you, please don’t apply.
