Times Higher Education is seeking a proactive Data Editor to support the Data Delivery Managers and the capability lead for THE Rankings. The role is hybrid with 1–2 days per week in the office and offers a salary of £32,000.

You will oversee the Rankings mailbox, manage data quality, assist with data collection processes, and help validate and document data across multiple sources. A strong organizational skill set and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

Key Tasks and responsibilities

THE is looking for a proactive Data Editor with a professional manner to support the Data Delivery Managers and the capability lead for the THE Rankings, there may be a potential to work across other projects.

Key role responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the mailbox for Rankings within provided SLA, escalates cases where required to Capability lead
• Have a proactive approach to resolve customer's queries and complaints; determining the cause of the query/problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution via phone and email.
• Update and maintain the data collection CRM where required with the highest level of efficiency and accuracy
• Responsible for assisting with the submission engagement cycle and validation process of institutions.
• Monitoring progress and provide progress report to Data capability lead
• Maintain records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
• Assist in gathering and researching data as well as validating data as required across a number of data sources
• Assist with portal testing for the launch of the data collection portal
• Assist with team training and support of team queries, as well as assisting with boosting team moral within the data collection cycle
• Support the Data Delivery manager with ranking with prior and post launch activities
• Assist with research and maintaining documentation where required
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
• Assist with general administration for data collection cycles for THE

Essential Skills/Qualifications

• Degreed educated
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software.
• Experience of improving data quality and data cleansing
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level or accuracy
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Strong administrative skills and working within a busy office environment
• Strong drive, self-motivated. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Working to deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and do what needs to be done to get the job done
