Job summary

St. James's Place is seeking a Risk Consultant to help partner practices grow safely by applying a data-led approach to risk management. You will identify, assess and mitigate risks while supporting regulatory requirements across the partnership.

In this role, you will work with internal stakeholders, analyse risk data, provide guidance on governance, and drive improvements through audits and lessons learned, enabling sustainable business growth and strong client protection.

Qualifications

• CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is required.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulation and risk frameworks.
• Experience analysing risk data and management reporting to identify trends.
• Experience prioritising and influencing multiple stakeholders in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Partner Engagement Programmes and Firm Reviews annually and on ad hoc basis.
• Support Partner Practices in regulatory change and governance requirements.
• Identify, assess and help resolve risks across Partner Practices.
• Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Escalate breaches to the Second Line Investigation team.
• Coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with First Line teams to provide risk guidance.
• Support internal audits and lessons learned exercises.
