Job summary

St. James's Place is seeking a Risk Consultant to champion a data-led approach to risk management across Partner Practices. You will work with internal stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate risks, while supporting regulatory requirements and best practices.

The role blends risk expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to drive safer, sustainable growth. You’ll analyse risk data, provide guidance on regulatory matters and help embed governance across the partnership.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong understanding of financial services regulation and risk frameworks.
• Experience analysing risk data, financial information and management reporting to identify trends and drive actions.
• Proven ability to prioritise, influence and work with multiple stakeholders in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Partner Engagement Programmes and Firm Reviews on an annual and ad hoc basis.
• Support Partner Practices in understanding and implementing regulatory change, internal risk processes and governance requirements.
• Use risk expertise to identify, assess and help resolve risks across Partner Practices and the wider business.
• Analyse available data to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Escalate breaches requiring formal investigation to the Second Line Investigation team.
• Coordinate and monitor corrective actions to ensure issues do not reoccur.
• Collaborate with First Line teams (Supervision, Academy, Early Years, Business Partnering) to provide risk guidance.
• Contribute to internal audits, lessons learned exercises and oversight reviews.
