Job summary

Qualifications

  • Good IT skills and the ability to work independently on own initiative, as well as part of a small team.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively to a wide audience.
  • Knowledge of Local Authority’s statutory responsibilities relating to Fair Access and Exclusions, including relevant legislation and Codes of Practice.
  • Knowledge of the issues faced by families and schools on admissions of hard-to-place pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake administrative tasks and support functions for children without a school place, fair access panels and school exclusions.
  • Establish, maintain and develop monitoring data on admission, exclusion and transfer trends.
