Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a motivated administrator to support fair access panels, school exclusions and admissions data. The role involves keeping monitoring data up to date and ensuring timely administrative tasks are completed.

The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, the ability to work independently or in a small team, and a good grasp of the Local Authority's statutory responsibilities related to Fair Access and Exclusions.

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 hours Per Week

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker (minimum of 2 days in the office)

Salary: Starting Salary is £29,542 (Level one) rising to £32,046 (Level four) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG

About the Role

To undertake all administrative tasks and support functions for children without a school place, fair access panels and school exclusions and to establish, maintain and develop monitoring data on admission, exclusion and transfer trends.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good IT skills, be able to work independently on their own initiative, as well as part of a small team,
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to communicate effective to a wide audience.
  • Knowledge of Local Authority's statutory responsibilities relating to Fair Access and Exclusions, including the relevant legislation and Codes of Practice.
  • Knowledge of the issues and demands faced by families and schools on the admission of hard to place pupils.
