Security Officer Job Description

ICTS is seeking reliable and technologically savvy Security Officers to ensure the safety of premises and personnel at our new Data Centre client sites in the Slough area.

The role involves working a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, with 12-hour shifts covering both day and night hours.

As a leading security provider for Data Centres in the UK, ICTS offers competitive wages reflecting our position as the top payer in this sector. The role involves carrying out various duties in a modern, fast-paced environment, including:

1. Managing access control for buildings and car parks, including employees, visitors, and contractors.
2. Patrolling premises to deter and detect issues.
3. Checking and challenging ID passes professionally and courteously.
4. Handling alarm systems and securing buildings, rooms, barriers, and gates to prevent unauthorized access.
5. Monitoring fire, security, and building systems, including CCTV.
6. Reporting safety issues and providing first aid when necessary.
7. Responding to customer requests and queries.
8. Maintaining incident reports and records using both digital and paper systems.

An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is required. To succeed in this role, candidates should also possess:

1. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
2. The ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
3. Experience in customer-facing security roles.
4. Five years of checkable employment history and references.
5. Successful completion of a criminal records check (CRC).

Optional but advantageous qualifications include:

1. SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) (CCTV) license.
2. Previous experience in similar roles.
