Job summary

Exponential-e in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Centre Operations professional to maintain service levels, manage the ticketing system, and support a large and diverse client base across our data centres.

You will install, configure and troubleshoot servers, storage and network gear, balance loads and monitor power and cabling, while ensuring compliance with ITIL and ISO standards. A 24/7 on-call rota and travel as needed are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Managed Hosting/Data Centre environment.
• Proficient with servers, storage and network deployment and ongoing break/fix support.
• Knowledge of DCIM tooling and asset management practices (NLyte).
• Familiar with IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86, SCSI, FC, ethernet, iLO).
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rota and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Data Centre Operations: installation, patching and configuration of environments with hardware from various vendors.
• Use ticketing systems and uphold SLA commitments for fault resolution and component replacements.
• Install, configure and balance Intelligent PDUs for power monitoring.
