Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Data Centre Operations Manager for a high profile Central London data centre. You will oversee engineering activities, coordinate safety, maintenance, and uptime, and liaise with facilities, IT operations, and security to optimise performance.

The role requires leadership of engineers, strong technical knowledge of power, cooling, and infrastructure, and the ability to manage contractors.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in data centre operations or a similar critical infrastructure environment.
• Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritise maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to minimise downtime.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including facilities management, IT operations, and security to optimise data centre operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement, maintenance services, and technical support.
• Maintain technical documentation within the data centre including SOPs/EOPs/MOPs, Electrical safety rules and risk assessments.
• Participate in capacity planning and expansion projects to support growth of the data centre infrastructure.
• Be available as the 1st point of escalation for incidents or issues.

One of the market leaders in the data centre world is currently looking to recruit a Data Centre Operations Manager to work at a high profile data centre based in Central London.

The role will be working closely with the Head of Operations on site and will be responsibleforoverseeing and coordinating all engineering activities within the datacentre, to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of criticalinfrastructure systems.

There will also be an oversighton the cleaning and securitybut this is managed indirectly via contractors.
