Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Data Centre Technical Services Manager to lead an on-site engineering team at a central London data centre. The role focuses on overseeing electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems to maximise uptime and efficiency.

You will work closely with the Head of Operations, manage vendor relationships and coordinate safety, compliance and capacity planning for critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training and support.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritise maintenance, repairs and upgrades of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with facilities management, IT operations and security to optimise data centre operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement and services.
• Maintain technical documentation within the data centre (SOPs/EOPs/MOPs, electrical safety rules, risk assessments).
• Participate in capacity planning and expansion projects to support growth.
• Act as a company HVAP and be the 1st escalation point for incidents.

One of the market leaders in the data centre world is currently looking to recruit a Data Centre Technical Services Manager to work at a high profile data centre based in Central London.

The role will be working closely with the Head of Operations on site and will be responsibleforoverseeing and coordinating all engineering activities within the datacentre, to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of criticalinfrastructure systems.

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance,training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of electrical,mechanical, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maintain uptimeSLAs.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensurecompliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including facilities management, IToperations, and security to address issues and optimize data centreoperations.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for equipment procurement,maintenance services, and technical support.
• Maintain technical documentation within the data centre includingSOP's/EOP's/MOP's,Electrical safety rules and risk assessments.
• Participate in capacity planning and expansion projects to support the growthof the data centre infrastructure.
• Act as a company HVAP.
• Be available as the 1st point of escalation for any incidents or issues.

Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:
