Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Critical Site Shift Engineer to manage MEP systems in a high‑security data centre environment in London. You will operate MV/LV isolations, support the site supervisor, and ensure 100% uptime while adhering to Cushman & Wakefield/Thomson Reuters procedures.

The role requires an LV authorised person, 5+ years in critical environments, and strong reporting/IT skills. Expect proactive safety compliance and ongoing technical training.”

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
• Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (may be updated to 18th Edition)
• C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with all levels of staff.
• Willingness to attend on/off-site training, possibly nights away.

Responsibilities

• Operate all MEP systems within the Critical Facility/Data Centre, including MV/LV electrical isolations and operations.
• Make recommendations for improvement and provide concise technical reports.
• Ensure specialist vendors service visits are completed efficiently and inspected.
• Maintain minimum staffing levels and accurate reporting of work orders and spares.
• Utilise the CAFM system (FAMIS) for work orders and reporting; write ServiceNow tickets as required.
• Attend weekly/quarterly team meetings and participate in health and safety activities.
