Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for a data centre project in Italy. The role is on-site, five days a week, with a daily rate of £700 and an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical construction experience across HVAC, chilled water, plumbing and fuel systems.
• Experience with mechanical commissioning and project handover.
• Experience managing site activities and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of QA, inspections and compliance.
• Fluent English; Italy-based on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction on site from installation through to completion.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Oversee mechanical installations including HVAC, chilled water, plumbing and fuel systems.
• Monitor project quality, safety and schedule throughout the construction phase.
• Carry out inspections and ensure all works meet the required quality standards.
• Verify installations against approved drawings, specifications and relevant industry standards.
• Identify installation issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support mechanical commissioning and ensure systems are ready for successful handover.
