Job summary

Technical Manager – HVAC Critical Services Slough, GB is a facilities engineering leadership role. Based in the Slough area, you will oversee critical and non-critical engineering services, drive safe operations, and mentor a growing team of engineers to maintain high engineering standards.

You will work with the Senior Technical Manager to ensure compliance, training, and effective project delivery across the campus data centre.

Qualifications

• Electrician with recognised qualifications (apprenticeship, HND, C&G).
• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations – essential.
• Previous experience in operating data centres/critical environments.
• Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call-out activities and protocols.
• IOSH or equivalent H&S training.
• Management Experience – Essential.
• Candidate must be an HVAP with demonstrable experience to allow appointment at SAP level.

Responsibilities

• Able to manage own time and allocate works to other team members.
• Able to manage cost related to delivery of maintenance activities (specialist and self-perform).
• Ensuring all client services, computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing, and revenue-earning services meet client requirements or appropriate SLAs.
• Provide technical management reports as required.
• Provide Technical Support and Leadership to the building Engineers.
• Form part of the Escalation chain for any unforeseen incidents and site issues, in and out of hours—providing technical support and leadership.
• Support critical environment-related technical audits.
• Responsibility for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation/records are kept in clearly identified and retrievable systems.
