Job summary

Rehlko is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to maintain standby power systems in data centre environments across the UK. You will be based on fixed customer sites, ensuring reliability and maximum uptime for critical facilities.

The role requires a time-served mechanical/electrical background or NVQ Level 3, with strong fault-finding skills and experience with generators and power equipment. Overtime is available with a projected OTE of £55,000–£65,000.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Experience on generators, critical power systems or similar equipment is highly advantageous.
• Experience in data centres, critical environments or industrial settings is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on standby power generation equipment in data centre environments.
• Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
• Work on fixed customer sites, supporting critical power infrastructure and emergency backup systems.
• Build strong relationships with site teams and customers, delivering a professional, responsive service.
