Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership roles.
• Proven track record of developing and securing new business in the data centre sector.
• Strong experience in the fire suppression industry, ideally selling into critical environments.
• Understanding of fire protection systems in data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience managing complex sales with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Commercially astute with strong analytical and market assessment capabilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel as required within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business growth strategy focused on fire suppression opportunities within the data centre market.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with data centre operators, developers, consultants, and contractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across the data centre ecosystem.
• Promote Johnson Controls' fire suppression and life safety solutions through a consultative, value-driven sales approach.
• Influence project specifications and engage with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, proposal, and operational teams to develop innovative customer solutions.
• Analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to identify strategic growth opportunities.
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and deliver reliable forecasting and reporting.
• Represent Johnson Controls at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence and customer relationships.
