Job summary

CBRE Local UK is seeking an Electrical Bias Engineer to join our team in a data centre environment. You will react to breakdowns, maintain critical power systems and perform UPS repairs, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations are required.
• Experience with building management systems including fault finding.
• Strong customer service and communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• React to breakdown maintenance requests within SLA.
• Technical awareness of data centre operations and power systems.
• Repairs to modular UPS systems.
• Test and diagnose power quality issues with onsite power analysers.
• Apply risk-focused maintenance in critical environments.
• Provide emergency response standby and call out.
• Escalate issues to Technical Services Manager.
• Respond to outages and interruptions per SLA.
• Keep critical maintenance documentation up to date.
• Advise Facilities Management on changes in critical enviro requirements.
• Work over contractual hours as needed.
• Undertake site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
• Undertake upgrade and install work.
• Read and interpret drawings / instructions / O&M's.
• Ensure completion of reactive Helpdesk requests.
• Monitor environmental conditions and equipment loading.
• Ensure adherence to financial processes.
• Complete incident reports within 24 business hours.
• Determine root cause and actions to restore availability.
• Review actions with Technical Services Manager.
• Enter quotes and remedial works into in-house system.
