Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Bias Engineer to join their team in Hull. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and diagnosing electrical plant, UPS systems and critical infrastructure in data-centre environments, ensuring uptime and compliant operations.

The successful candidate will have 18th Edition qualifications and experience with power distribution, testing, and risk assessments, with additional preference for IOSH/NEBOSH and building management systems.

Qualifications

• Essential: 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations.
• Desirable: experience with building management systems and HVAC controls.
• Health & safety qualifications such as IOSH and/or NEBOSH are preferred.

Responsibilities

• React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA.
• Install and maintain plant and equipment; rectify faults swiftly.
• Provide emergency response standby and call out coverage.
• Test and diagnose power quality issues in data centres.
• Undertake site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
• Ensure maintenance documentation and records are kept up to date.
• Be willing to work overtime beyond contractual hours.
• Advise Facilities Management on changes in critical environment requirements.
• Monitor environmental conditions and loading of critical equipment.
• Enter quotes and remedial works onto the in-house system.
