Job summary

ICTS is seeking reliable CCTV Operators to monitor alarms and coordinate security responses for data centre sites in the Slough area.

You will work a 4 on / 4 off schedule with 12-hour shifts, including day and night periods. Full training and PPE are provided, with access to health insurance and employee assistance programmes.

Excellent written communication and reporting skills are essential, as you will log incidents, support risk assessments, and liaise with management during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Five years' checkable history and references.
• Hold a valid CCTV licence.
• Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV to prevent crime and ensure safety of staff and visitors.
• Handle fire system isolations and reactivations as directed.
• Respond to alarms on the access control system and dispatch officers as needed.
• Accurately maintain the Fire log.
• Coordinate officers to investigate stage 1 fire alarm activations.
• Act as Incident Controller until Duty Manager arrives during opening hours.
• Coordinate staff during evacuations and maintain incident reports.

Job description

ICTS are looking for reliable and technology savvy CCTV Operators to effectively monitor alarms and coordinate security responses for the sites of our Data Centre client in the Slough area.

You'll be required to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern working 12-hour shifts, encompassing both days and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

• To effectively monitor CCTV for the prevention of crime and to ensure the Health and Safety of staff and visitors
• To deal with fire system isolations and reactivations, as directed
• To efficiently respond to alarms on the access control system and dispatch officers in response to case alarms
• To accurately maintain the Fire log
• To dispatch officers to investigate stage 1 fire alarm activations
• To assume the role of Incident Controller until Duty Manager arrives within opening hours
• To co-ordinate the distribution of staff during an evacuation
• To complete Incident reports / Statements as required and to maintain record of events during an incident
• To complete and maintain the DOB (Control Room log) and ensure this is kept legible
• To complete the Staff log and the Operations log
• To co-ordinate the logging and storage of high value lost property
• To report and investigate any acts or omissions that may compromise health & safety immediately to the Supervisor/Duty Manager
• To log missing, damaged or unserviceable safety equipment
• Administrative duties as directed by line management, including roster management and hours reports
• Reviews and implements security and safety policies and standards at the premises
• Works closely with other officers / management to ensure the most effective and efficient provision of security and safety services
• Work with Management in reviewing threat assessments and ensure continual development of the risk mitigation/management processes
• Hold a valid CCTV licence
• Hold excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
• Hold a willingness to work cooperatively and constructively with both your peer group and the leadership provided by department supervisors and management
• Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal reports
• Five years' checkable history and references
• To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards
