Job summary

ICTS is seeking reliable Security Officers to safeguard premises and people across the Slough and Uxbridge area. The role offers a 4 on/4 off pattern with 12-hour shifts, days and nights, in modern, fast-paced environments.

The ideal candidate will hold an SIA DS/SG license, strong communication skills, and a clean five-year history with CRC checks. Full training, uniform and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
• Five years' checkable history and references
• Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to required standards

Responsibilities

• Manage access control for buildings and car-parks for employees, visitors and contractors.
• Patrol buildings, car parks and grounds to deter and detect problems.
• Check and challenge ID passes with a professional approach.
• Activate/de-activate alarms and lock/unlock buildings, rooms, barriers and gates.
• Monitor fire, security and building systems including CCTV.
• Identify and report Health & Safety issues and carry out first aid if necessary.
• Respond to customer requests and queries.
• Maintain incident records using computer and paper-based systems

Job description

ICTS are looking for reliable and technology savvy Security Officers to ensure the security and safety of premises and people amongst the sites of our Data Centre client in the Slough and Uxbridge area.

You’ll be required to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern working 12-hour shifts, encompassing both days and nights.

An experienced Security Officer, you will carry out a range of duties in a modern and fast paced environment, including:

• Managing access control for buildings and car-parks - for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Patrolling the buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.
• Checking and challenging ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
• De-activating and activating alarms, and unlocking and locking buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site.
• Fire, security and building systems monitoring, including CCTV.
• Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary.
• Responding to customer requests and queries
• Maintaining records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems
