Job summary

Smart 4 EPC in Northumberland is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a major data centre infrastructure project. You will oversee site teams, subcontractors, programme management, safety, quality and multi-package coordination.

You will manage and coordinate Site Managers, engineers and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered on programme, within budget and to specification while maintaining RAMS, permits and inspections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager on large-scale projects.
• Data centre, mission-critical, infrastructure or other technically complex project experience highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme and project delivery.
• SMSTS and CSCS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery across designated project areas and work packages.
• Coordinate Site Managers, engineers, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to specification.
• Coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works.
• Monitor programme performance and implement recovery plans where required.
• Lead construction planning, sequencing and short-term look-ahead programmes.
• Manage subcontractor performance and site coordination.
• Ensure RAMS, permits, inspections and quality requirements are fully implemented.
• Identify and resolve technical, programme and construction issues.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, client, consultants, commercial and engineering teams.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out.
