Job summary

CTS Group is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning programme for a major data centre project in Middlesbrough. The role covers design review, construction readiness, IST, FAT/SAT, and final handover to operations.

You will oversee mechanical, electrical, controls, and life safety systems, ensuring safe, compliant delivery of a mission-critical facility and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Commissioning Manager on large-scale data centres.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating contractors.
• Strong knowledge of UK regulations and standards.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead commissioning strategy, execution plans, governance, and programme.
• Manage multidisciplinary commissioning teams with clear direction and priorities.
• Act as primary interface between project management, construction, design, QA/QC, HSE, planning, commercial teams, vendors, and client.
• Chair commissioning coordination, readiness, integration, and handover meetings.
