Harvey Nash Group in Leeds is seeking a hands-on Data Centre & Infrastructure Engineer to support critical infrastructure across multiple sites.

This on-site role focuses ~70% on structured cabling (fibre and copper) with remaining time on data centre operations, migrations and equipment deployments. You will contribute to network migration projects and gain exposure to enterprise-scale environments. A full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on structured cabling experience required.
• Experience with fibre and copper cabling.
• Experience in IT infrastructure, networking, telecoms or technical environments.
• Knowledge of patch panels, cable containment, termination and testing.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot structured fibre and copper cabling infrastructure.
• Carry out patching, termination, testing, labeling and cable management activities.
• Support multiple communications rooms and data centre environments.
• Install, relocate and decommission network, server and storage equipment.
• Perform rack and stack activities and physical infrastructure changes.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and asset records.

We're looking for a hands-on Data Centre & Infrastructure Engineer to join a large-scale IT operation supporting critical infrastructure across multiple sites.

This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years' structured cabling experience who enjoys working in a physical infrastructure environment. Approximately 70% of the role is focused on structured cabling, with the remaining time supporting data centre operations, infrastructure projects and equipment deployments.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to a significant Cisco-to-Juniper network migration programme and gain further exposure to enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot structured fibre and copper cabling infrastructure
• Carry out patching, termination, testing, labelling and cable management activities
• Support multiple communications rooms and data centre environments

Essential Experience

• 3-5 years' hands-on structured cabling experience
• Strong experience working with both fibre and copper cabling
• Experience within IT infrastructure, networking, telecoms or technical environments
• Knowledge of patch panels, cable containment, termination and testing
• Experience installing and supporting network or IT hardware
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to travel between sites as required

Desirable Experience

• Data centre or communications room experience
• Smart Hands support experience
• Exposure to enterprise network environments
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects and equipment migrations

Working Pattern

This is an on-site role supporting critical infrastructure across multiple locations.

Due to the nature of the environment, the successful candidate will be expected to support occasional evening and weekend work for maintenance, upgrades, migrations and project activities.
