We are seeking an experienced Cabling Installation Engineer to join a growing and highly regarded infrastructure delivery team. Working on a range of fibre optic and structured cabling projects, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality installations within secure and technically demanding environments.
This position offers a varied workload, combining project installation work with business-as-usual activities across network infrastructure projects. Ideal candidates will have strong hands-on experience with both copper and fibre cabling systems and be confident working to industry standards.
As a Cabling Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, termination and testing of structured cabling infrastructure. You'll work with fibre optic and copper systems, installing network cabinets, containment, patching solutions and associated hardware.
The role will involve reading and interpreting technical drawings, carrying out testing using Fluke and OTDR equipment, and ensuring all installations are completed to the highest standards. You will also support the installation of network switching equipment and maintain clear documentation throughout project delivery.
To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience within the structured cabling industry and be confident working across both copper and fibre infrastructure.
You will also need a full UK driving licence and be willing to undergo security clearance processes where required.
Additional certifications such as ECS, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, EUSR or structured cabling qualifications would be advantageous, although they are not essential.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering quality work and has a proactive, professional approach. You'll be a strong communicator, comfortable working independently or as part of a wider installation team, and capable of maintaining high standards whilst working in secure and regulated environments.
In return, you'll receive a competitive salary, overtime opportunities, ongoing training and development, and the benefit of a 9-day fortnight working pattern. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation offering long-term career progression and exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects.
