Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Senior Sustainability Engineer to drive carbon reduction in the design of AWS data centers across the EMEA region, collaborating with the Sustainability team and the Global Design Engineering group to reduce carbon intensity in current and future builds.

You will identify opportunities for carbon reduction, track their impact, coordinate with construction teams and suppliers, support regulatory engagement, and produce detailed design specifications,

Qualifications

• Experience in sustainability within data center design or construction.
• Knowledge of embodied carbon, material decarbonization and sustainability compliance.
• Ability to identify and implement carbon reduction opportunities across projects.

Responsibilities

• Understand the design and functionality of AWS data centers globally.
• Create mechanisms to track carbon throughout project lifecycles.
• Own carbon tracking for regional projects and coordinate with construction teams.
• Propose carbon reduction initiatives implemented globally across the AWS fleet.
• Produce clear documentation such as design specifications and reports.
