Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our Thames Valley team. This partially hands-on role covers the design, deployment, and maintenance of physical security systems across data centers and facilities, including Access Control, CCTV, and barriers.

You will work with a small team and external vendors to deliver secure, compliant solutions. You will report to Data Center Security Managers, travel about 50% of the time within the Thames Valley, and

Qualifications

• Experience in physical security design and implementation of access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV.
• Experience overseeing security operations and working with vendors/contractors.
• Experience as general contractor and vendor management for construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, or technical documents.
• Strong written and oral communication to executives and non-technical leaders.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security design and system installation lifecycle for facilities and expansions.
• Provide project management including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, budget, vendor management, change orders, and close-out documentation.
• Coordinate fault tickets and maintenance tasks with a team of vendor engineers, ensuring security devices are properly maintained.
• Own and track high value security project budgets and cost reduction targets.
• Lead system testing, acceptance, sign-off, and operational readiness validation for high-security facilities.
• Report performance metrics including vendor service delivery, costs, fault repair rates, and security program analysis.
• Collaborate across teams to drive global, regional, and local security initiatives.
