Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a Technical Project Manager in the London area to lead security-focused programs and cross-functional initiatives across cloud, devices, retail, and services. You will oversee lifecycle governance, risk management, and collaboration with internal customers and security teams.

The role emphasizes delivering secure software development practices, scalable security guidance, and effective stakeholder communication in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.
• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.
• Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience in program management, technical program management, or related fields.
• Experience with AWS products and services is preferred.
• Experience working with security engineering teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• We plan, organize, and manage all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
• We define success criteria, develop governance plans, manage project schedules, set team goals, and establish communication strategies and milestones.
• We collaborate with internal customers and partner security teams to understand needs and improve security posture.
• We create and manage scope of work documents with customers, clearly defining success criteria and timelines.
• We hold stakeholders accountable to scope documents throughout the project lifecycle and escalated issues as needed.
• We build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and security teams while advocating for customer security goals.
• We guide the evolution and adoption of internal security support solutions and prioritize work that benefits Amazon builders.
• We use knowledge of software system design to scope architecture, review threat models, educate customers, and guide remediation efforts.
• We define and implement best-practice methods, processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives to scale security guidance and builder support.
• We create and deliver business proposals and metrics to security leadership.
• We proactively identify and manage program risks and escalated when necessary.
• We work effectively and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• We influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and achieve results through others who are not direct reports.
• We foster a positive work environment by listening actively, encouraging diverse perspectives, and adapting to different personality types
