Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to lead construction-related activities in configuring and upgrading data center infrastructure. The role oversees electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines, ensuring projects align with strategic goals and budgets.

Ideal candidates will manage scope, timelines, and budgets, while improving resiliency and efficiency across data center facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Project management and oversight of construction related activities as they relate to modifying existing infrastructure.
• Provide project management for initiatives aimed at increasing resiliency of data centers.
• Electrical design and review of designs for optimization of data centers.
• Construction/project package drawing review.
• Creation of project scope, RFIs, and capital requests.
• Total project quality including commissioning plan and oversight of execution.
• Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
• Operational support including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis.
