Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to oversee construction-related activities in our existing data centers. You will manage scope, schedule and budgets while coordinating electrical, mechanical, and building automation system improvements.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality project turnovers and ensure alignment with AWS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in a data center or critical environment.
Vendor management experience.
Experience in data center engineering or operations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Provide project management for construction-related initiatives in existing data centers.
Oversee project scope, timeline, and budget.
Lead electrical design reviews for optimization.
Review construction/project packages and drawings.
Create project scope, RFPs, and capital requests.
Ensure total project quality including commissioning plans.
Record and report key metrics to team and management.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for turnovers.
Lead and mentor internal and external teams.
