Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for the design and continuous innovation of AWS data center footprints in the EMEA region. You will design resilient, cost-efficient mechanical services systems and support multi-million dollar projects from concept through construction.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.).
• Experience in commissioning and evaluating data center equipment and facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Be a leader within the group and with internal/external teams supporting data centres.
• Assess how design decisions affect building and campus layouts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand user requirements and site needs.
• Manage design consultants to create, review and release data center designs.
• Oversee change, versioning and configuration control.
• Coordinate with local utilities to define site utility requirements.
• Define and approve project scopes, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Work with AHJs to ensure compliance with codes.
• Support commissioning teams to validate installation, operation and performance.
• Lead multiple concurrent projects across regions.
• Travel for site reviews and engineering evaluations, audits, and site launches.
• Review and approve equipment submittals and conduct RCA/CA for design issues.
• Provide technical support during construction phases and coordinate with regional vendors.
