Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Data Center Facilities Engineer to ensure safe, reliable operation of mission-critical data center infrastructure across assigned sites. You will lead on-site incidents, oversee maintenance, and collaborate with vendors to optimize efficiency and reliability.

The role requires strong knowledge of power, cooling, BMS/EPMS/DCIM systems and excellent communication skills, with Chinese language proficiency considered a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Engineering, Automation, or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in data center facilities or mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems (power, UPS, generators, HVAC, fire protection, and monitoring).
• Proven ability to manage incidents, planned works, maintenance activities, and operational risks.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency with Chinese considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, stable, and compliant operation of critical facilities systems (power, HVAC, fire protection, monitoring).
• Lead on-site response to facilities incidents and safety events with escalation and RCA.
• Oversee planned changes, preventive maintenance, and routine inspections with documentation traceability.
• Monitor capacity, energy efficiency, and system reliability to drive site improvements.
• Provide technical support for complex site issues and contribute to equipment selection and optimization.
• Coordinate with vendors, colo, and cross-functional teams to support smooth site operations.
